Product Name: Fuel Tank
Product Description: This fuel tank was purchased as a 1937 Ford fuel tank. The frame of the vehicle was manufactured to accept this type of fuel tank. The tank was installed and the fuel lines made to fit accordingly. The blue vent line is used to allow air to enter and escape the fuel tank with changes in fuel temperature. As the temperature heats up, the fuel expands. As the temperature cools, the fuel contracts.
Also, as part of this vent there is a rollover valve, as shown by the arrow. Its purpose is to stop any fuel leakage in the event of a vehicle rollover. The hole in the center of the fuel tank is used to attach the fuel sending unit to the tank. Its electrical connections hook up to the fuel gauge on the dashboard.
