Product Name: Heating and Cooling Climate Control System
Product Description: This component is used to control the heating and cooling of the passenger compartment air. For heating, a coolant hose is fed from the cooling system, into the lower section of the unit, through a heater core, and then back to the cooling system. A fan is then used to blow air through the heater core, warming it up, and sending it to the passenger compartment. For cooling, refrigerant from the compressor is sent to the lower section of the unit, through an expansion tube, into the internal evaporator, and back to the compressor. The fan is then used to blow warm air, through the evaporator, cooling the air, and then sending it into the passenger compartment. The squirrel cage fan is housed on the right side of the unit.
