- Make sure the safety glasses have safety glass and some sort of side protection.
- Make sure the safety glasses are comfortable so you will be inclined to use them more often.
- On certain procedures it might be necessary to have a full faced shield, for use in grinding and cleaning carbon from valves.
- Hearing protectors and respirators should be comfortable and approved by OSHA.
