Showing Your Street Rod
1. Always arrive at the street rod show as early
as possible. This will help you get the best
spot to show your vehicle.
2. Try to pick a spot that shows as much of your
street rod as possible, like a front and side
view.
3. Make sure to open the hood of the street rod
showing the spectators the engine and
related components.
4. If the trunk has been upholstered, make sure
to open the trunk and let spectators see its
quality.
5. Have a sign that tells the spectators about your street rod including some of the more important companies
that were involved with the building and painting processes. Click on Car Show Display Stand to get
more information
6. Make sure the sign is easy to read and has a strong physical support, especially if the show is in a
windy location.
7. Always bring cleaning supplies to the car show, and make sure the vehicle is cleaned several times
during the show. Always have a California Duster available to remove the dust.
8. Bring along folding chairs and a cooler to make your stay comfortable.
9. Often spectators like to see the inside of the vehicle so make sure you have door props to keep the door(s)
open.
10. If you have any special electronics, demonstrate them to the spectators whenever possible. Examples might
include special dashboard gauges, shaved door kits, special trunk actuators, etc.
11. Put together a photo album of the building process and make sure it is easily available for spectators to
look through it.
12. Try to engage the spectators whenever it is convenient.
