Galling-A displacement of metal, usually caused by a lack of lubrication, too loose fit, or capacity overloads on u-joints.
Gasket-A rubber, felt, cork, steel, or copper material placed between two parts to eliminate leakage of gases, greases, and other fluids.
Gasket sealant-A chemical sealant placed on a gasket in an engine to aid in sealing and to position the gasket during installation.
Gauge pressure-Pressure read on a gauge, at atmospheric pressure, starting with zero as a reference point, as compared to absolute pressure.
General engine specifications-Specifications used to identify a style and type of engine.
Grounded circuit-A condition in an electrical circuit that causes the current to return back to the voltage source, such as the battery, thereby bypassing the intended load or resistor.
